SHOPPING LIST

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast

  • 1 red and yellow bell pepper (diced)

  • 1 diced onion

  • white hoagie roll

  • provolone cheese

  • mayo

  • AP and Hot AP seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsps butter

  • 2 tbsps diced parsley

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste

DIRECTIONS - In this recipe, we will be using the same skillet to cook the ingredients for our dish.

PRO TIP: Place your chicken breast in the freezer for 5-7 min to firm it up CHICKEN PREP

  1. Start by cutting think slices into your chicken breast and add into a mixing bowl

  2. Season with my AP Seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, etc), and massage into your chicken, make sure the application is even.

HOAGIE ROLL

  1. Cut your roll in half without slicing all the way through (like a sandwich) and pull it open with your hands

  2. In a cast iron skillet or skillet of your choice on medium-high add about 1 tbsp of butter and melt

  3. Place your hoagie rolls into the skillet and allow them to toast and absorb that butter

VEGGIES

  1. In the same skillet over medium-high heat, add diced red and yellow bell peppers and your diced onion and mix until soft, about 4-5 min

  2. Season as you go with AP Seasoning

  3. Add 1 tbsp of garlic paste, if you want something spicier you can add cayenne peper, red pepper flakes, jalapenos, etc.

  4. Once your veggies are cooked down, remove them and place them to the side

CHICKEN

  1. On medium-high heat, place your chicken breasts in a few pieces at a time into the skillet so they can turn a nice brown color instead of a grayish color from them being overcrowded. COOK IN 2 BATCHES IF YOU HAVE TO!

  2. If you cooked your chicken in 2 batches, add the first batch back into the skillet and add 1tbsp of Worcestershire sauce

  3. Add in your mixed veggies and stir

  4. Increase the heat to cook off any water or steam so there is no liquid in the bottom of your skillet.

FINAL STEPS

  1. Sprinkle some chopped parsley on top and separate your chicken into sides in your skillet ( Each side will be the filling for 1 sandwich)

  2. Take your preferred amount of provolone cheese slices and place them directly on top of your chicken/veggie mixtures

  3. Place a lid on top and allow the cheese to melt

  4. Grab your toasted Hoagie Rolls and place them on a plate, spread your mayo or condiment of your choice on both sides of your roll

  5. Scoop up your chicken breast/veggie mixture and fill up your hoagie
