Creole Shrimp Dip Recipe by Mr. Make It Happen

SHOPPING LIST
  • 1.5 lbs large shrimp

  • 1 onion

  • 1 red and green bell pepper

  • 2-3 stalks of celery

  • 1-2 jalapenos

  • 3 tbsps butter

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 tsp lobster base

  • 1 tsp worcestershire suace 1

  • tsp hot sauce

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (chardonnay) - or veggie broth

  • 2 tbsps roasted garlic (or plain)

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup colby jack cheese

  • AP and Lemon Bae (use your favorite seafood seasoning) creole seasoning


Baugette:

  • roasted garlic (or plain)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 3 tbsps parsley garlic and herb seasoning salt and pepper


DIRECTIONS FOR Creole Shrimp Dip Recipe PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - SHRIMP
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter.

  2. Add the large shrimp to the skillet and sauté for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and are no longer translucent. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet, let them cool, and then chop them into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - VEGETABLE MIXTURES
  1. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion, red and green bell peppers, celery, and jalapenos until they become tender, which should take about 5-7 minutes. Use some of your favorite seafood seasoning, all-purpose (AP) seasoning, and Lemon Bae to season the mixture.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - DIP BASE
  1. In a separate mixing bowl, combine 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, 1 tsp of lobster base, 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp of hot sauce, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of dry white wine (Chardonnay). Mix until the ingredients are well combined.

  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons of roasted garlic (or plain garlic) and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - ASSEMBLING THE DIP
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and chopped shrimp, sautéed vegetable mixture, and the dip base mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly mixed.

  2. Gently fold in 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1 cup of colby jack cheese, and some creole seasoning to taste.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - BAKING
  1. Transfer the dip mixture to an ovenproof dish or casserole.

  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - BAGUETTE
  1. While the dip is baking, prepare the baguette. Slice the baguette into rounds.

  2. In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley, garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix to create a flavorful garlic and herb oil.

  3. Brush the baguette rounds with the garlic and herb oil and toast them in the oven for a few minutes until they're golden and crisp.


SERVING
  1. Serve the hot Creole Shrimp Dip with the garlic and herb baguette rounds for dipping.
