COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - TERIYAKI CHICKEN
Season 1.5 pounds of chicken thighs with all-purpose (AP) seasoning and chicken bouillon powder to taste.
In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of low sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of garlic and ginger paste, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix well to create the teriyaki sauce.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of oil. When the oil is hot, sear the seasoned chicken thighs for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are browned.
Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the seared chicken thighs. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS -WHITE RICE
While the chicken is simmering, prepare white rice according to the package instructions. This typically takes about 15-20 minutes.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS -STEAMED BROCCOLI
Steam 1 pound of broccoli until it's tender but still crisp, which usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
SERVING
Serve the Teriyaki Chicken over a bed of white rice, with steamed broccoli on the side.
Drizzle the chicken with extra teriyaki sauce from the skillet and garnish with sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
